Renowned for incrementalism, Wiley acquires Hindawi after partnering for years
John Wiley & Sons is known as a patient suitor. As an entity, it doesn’t swoop in with aggressive tactics, but rather ingratiates itself over time. Part of the rationale for the Atypon acquisition, which shook things up almost five years ago, was that it gave Wiley another path it could use to insinuate itself into desirable publishing businesses.
