Journals Win the Coronavirus Race

Preprints are supposed to get information out faster, but in this case, they did not

Memories are short, and ideology doesn’t lend itself to evidence. Both of these aspects of human behavior were on display over the weekend as a Washington Post story extolled the virtues of the modern information environment in promulgating data and information about the coronavirus outbreak spreading from China and now affecting multiple countries.
